Today I got to go to NYC. I have a couple of dear friends that live in that big beautiful complicated island of a city and I was having ill pangs of dread that I wasn't going to get to see them before I moved from the Northeast.

And one of their names may have started with an N and ended with an ATE.

And that might be his chair.

And he might be the most gracious not jaded scruffy-faced TV show host ever.

But I signed a release form saying that I wouldn't blog about my experience - which may or may not have happened today - so I'ma keep my promise.

In other news, huge huzzah to my friends Ellis and Emily who bought me dinner and who appreciate a buffet of bathroom portals like no other. Keep those bulletin boards tidy and don't let those hailstorms get you down. xoxo
